I'm totally copypasting that from the previous years, so I hope I don't forget anything.
Hi guys! The CAR is starting, so it's high time to give you all the final technical information that you will need while leading your team! Please spare a minute to read all of this.
Games - when and how
Most of the information concering games has been already written in earlier posts.
Please include a simple textbox for players to use in your games (those that require the players to answer something).
Example:
You can change it anyway you want, as long as it's easy to understand.
Also, just to remind you, the game posting calendar:
Aug 1st - Gin (Raven)
Aug 2nd - Kou (Raven)
Aug 3rd - Akai (Arianne)
Aug 4th - Kurocchi (Aru)
Aug 5th - Shirocchi (Jiyu)
Aug 6th - Aoi (Jun)
Aug 7th - Mikan (Arianne)
Aug 8th - Midorin (Jiyu)
Aug 9th - Murasaki (Aru)
Aug 10th - Tobi (Jun)
Oh, and remember to tag your games with the 'event: colors league' tag and your mod tag.
Points
Each player can score up to three points for their team in each event. In the open events, you may inform the players when they score, by simply replying to their comments, but it's not mandatory. In the closed quizzes, well, it's a secret of course.
Also remember: you don't take part in your own quiz games, you'll get 3 points automatically. This doesn't apply to open events (Gin's, Kou's, Akai's and Kurocchi's) though, you still need to take part in those.
Results
We'll be holding an official Closing Ceremony, when the points will be counted, so receiving results from all of you before that is absolutely neccessary. All games will be closed at August 19th (the exact moment is 12:00 (noon) GMT ). Please make this clear in your posts. Of course, you don't need to appear at your post and close it exactly at this moment, just don't count any later answers. After that, all of the captains should send their results to me. The results should be saved in txt files, one for each game (so I won't have to look at them before I open the file during the ceremony), looking similar to that:
Team name a - 6 points

Herp - 2 points
Derp - 3 points
Derpina - 1 point
Team name b - 4 points

Derpozaurus - 1 point
Cain03 - 3 points
etc.
Please send your txt files ny PMS on discord, or upload them on whatever site and give me the link via private DW message. If I don't receive someone's results until several hours before the ceremony, I'll just log in as Colorsmod and try to check the answers by myself. It would be great if we didn't have such a situation though, of course!
Substitutions
This is also the place where you can make a substitution. Some rules about those:
- you can only make a substitution when your player has quit / took a hiatus.
However, starting from August 14th, if a member hasn't answered any games AND has not appeared in the hangout post AND is not answering to any of your messages, we can count them as a 'phantom member' and remove them. You can do it with one player only, though.
- if you make a substitution, the old player's points disappear and the new player starts from scratch
- you can make a substitution at any point until the games close
- the player you choose as your substitute can't be a member of any other team, obviously
