Mod Pay February 1 - February 15

Hi mods, please comment below with what you've done during the February 1 to February 15 period for your mod pay! Please list permanent posts first, then games. Please let me know if you've covered or are covering for anyone~. If you helped with extra stuff (like anything with the release!), do include a note about that too. :3

Deckmakers, if you have free time, please claim some more decks! Not a lot of decks have been claimed this month! We do have less donations this month compared to previous months, so we're not in bad shape, but do start sending decks in. It would also help if you could let me know whether or not you'll be free to make decks in the following two weeks. I know that Laxis currently is on hiatus. What about everyone else?

I hope everyone's enjoying their February~! Next mod pay will be here in a flash since it'll be on the 28th. |D

And I changed Ryoga's Directions so players only need to comment with the series the image is from for now! Hopefully that's okay with you, I was running out of material to use for rounds where they have to name the specific location. :'D

Only commenting with the series sounds perfectly fine! Locations are already fairly hard. Since we don't have a general guess the series game, if you'd like to include things other than scenery, that's fine too. :3

You should watch it sometime! It's one of my favorite series airing this season, well, after Level E that is. The newest Level E episode was awesome by the way, I cracked up so much when the Prince started singing. If you haven't watched it yet you totally should sometime! As for Kore wa Zombie desu ka? I think you should watch that if you have the time to, too! It has everything you could ever possibly imagine - including a crossdressing zombie magical ~~girl~~ guy! (Seen in my icon)

Also, I'm definitely free for deckmaking since the busiest part of the month is over for me. By the way, how do you do silhouettes? I am considering attempting some silhouettes for something but don't know how to do it. XD;

I use GIMP but I'm pretty sure there's a corresponding function for all of these in Photoshop/Paintshop. For silhouette I find a basic picture with just a solid (usually white) background. Then I do a "color to alpha" which makes all the background color into empty space(and fades some of the character's color too). After that I use a "alpha select" option which selects everything but empty space then I use the paint bucket to fill in the selected area on a new layer. This will usually leave me with a black and white picture of the person. Then I go in with a paint brush with the select still on and make sure all the outer lines are solid. Then I select all and fill in all the other spots that the paint bucket didn't color all the way. Overall I think it take me anywhere from 5-15 mins to do it depending on how clean the original picture is (and how much my laptop wants to lag on me). Hope this helps.

Ooooh, very interesting! I'm not sure what the corresponding "color to alpha" function would be on Photoshop, but I bet there's something that does something similar. At least I hope so. I'll have to try this out. :D Thanks for telling me how! I already picked a nice image with a white background to try this with, hehe.
