Deckmaking prep for Release 016, Deckmaking pay for Release 015
A million thanks to Eri for taking care of the last minute decks and organizing decks from everyone! *___* Special thanks to Skie for giving a hand with some of the decks too! And thank you to Hana and Zags for getting your decks in~.

1) Roll Call! If you are active this month, please reply to this comment! If you think you will not be able to handle much this month, please let me know so I can look for backup early! If you do not reply before July 15, I will assume you are inactive this month.

Everyone, please try your best to get your decks in earlier than the end of the month! The upcoming list is very scary when we don't have finished decks, and we need all the help we can get with last minute decks!

2) Deck Claims for Release 016. Comment here for claiming donations from members~. It's not necessary if you've contacted me a different way. However, backup deckmakers must comment here with deck claims instead of replying to donation comments!

Please remember to check deck names before any decks you make. I usually check deck names but may forget to do so. We don't want to end up with a name that's already used or a name that is too long that it doesn't fit on our template!

I'm considering facilitating some sort of special deck... raffle? Lottery? Idea pool? So keep an eye out on the donate a special deck post too if anyone earns the right~

3) Deck Donations for Yourself. You may donate up to 2 decks for yourself at any time, but please make sure that you can make these decks within the month. So it's best if you already have the images before you comment!

Please use this form!

Whenever you finish making your 2 decks, I will pass out rewards here. You may also make up to 1 special deck for yourself per month (outside of specially earned rights for special decks) but will receive no rewards for it.

After finishing 22 decks and there are no unclaimed decks left, if you'd like to start on other decks from your own donations, please reply to this comment as well. (But remember there are no rewards after the 1st two decks). Whatever you reply here with, you must be certain you will be able to make them for the next release! Please don't comment with more than you can make because we want to start with a clean slate each month.

4) Deckmaking pay for Release 015. Comment here with what you made for Release 015 to receive your deckmaking pay! The pay rate is 1 random card per deck and 1 random crayon for every ten decks.

5) If there's anything else that does not fit in the above threads, please comment directly to the post itself, thanks! (After the above four comment threads have been made)

edit: Skie has made it so his template takes out the underscore! I wish I knew how to do this earlier! Steps from Skie:
1) When you've clicked "Save For Web", open up "Output Settings".
2) In that section, click and open the second drop-down bar (I believe it starts on HTML) and select "slices".
3) You should see a set of drop down menus in a box titled "Default Slice Naming".
4) change "underscore" and any others that are unimportant to "none" and leave only the following two: "doc.name" and "slice no. (01, 02, 03 ...)".
5) If your PSD file was named after the deck name, you're good! It'll export perfectly named cards. You just have to rename the 00 and the master badge.

Re: Deck Donations
I think water types are pretty though I'd always prefer fire and grass starters so I never got used to using water types a lot.

I'd love to see Umbreon and either Houndour or Houndoom in the deck. (wow I'm looking at a list of all the dark pokemon (http://pokemondb.net/type/dark) and 5th gen nearly doubled their numbers) Do you know if you'll be using 1st or last evolutions or a mix?

I've been wondering if we could fit all the legendaries in one deck(or two split early gen and later gen) or if they'd fit better with their types?

Re: Deck Donations
A good way to narrow them down might be focusing on those that are pure type or primary of that type. The others might be able to fit with another type deck if we make them (then again Dark is on of the lesser amounts as far as types go)

As for the legendaries, they might be good for the mastery badge of their type?

Re: Deck Donations
I agree the focus should go to pure types first since they won't be able to go to another deck. So I guess for dark that means Umbreon, Poochyena/Mightyena, Absol, Purrloin/Liepard, Zorua/Zoroark, Darkrai(master badge?) are must haves.

I think using the legendary as the master badge is a good idea. And that leaves them open to having an actual card for another deck. I just counted and 1st-3rd gen have exactly 21 legendaries which would be perfect for a deck. 4th & 5th are more difficult since they have 26 between them. what happened to legendaries being rare?

Re: Deck Donations
Yep, I'll probably be trying to use mostly pure Dark-types, and a couple of first evos and a couple of second, if I can find a good balance. I'm going for the most popular ones first, so I'll definitely include Umbreon, Houndour/doom and Sneasel over... say, Stunky. XD;

I also like the idea of using the legendary Pokemon for the master banner! I was trying to figure out a good way to include them, so thank for the suggestions, guys c: This is exactly the way I wanted these special decks to be made!

You know, I just realized that the Normal-type deck is going to be the hardest to make. x: There are so many... I'll most definitely be asking the community to vote on which ones to use in that case (hopefully four from each gen).

Re: Deck Donations
Actually if you're going to split the normal types into gens you might come up with just the right amount for a deck. (Or even less if you're just using one form per evolution chain)

All this Poke talk makes me want to donate a fire deck next month since the PoG prize this month is donating a special deck. ^__^
