Sure I could do that. It sounds like a cool idea. As long as it's the same format just with everything the same color I could modify the template myself.

Would a deck be allowed to count for both a monochrome and full portfolio? And would people be allowed to have more than one monochrome portfolio at one time?

Yeah, it'll be the same format! Just that the boxes and the text will all be one color instead of multiple colors. If you don't mind modifying the template yourself, you can do that, or I can add in the layers for you (and change the text on the bottom to say "monochrome portfolio" instead for those who choose a monochrome one).

A deck would still only be able to count for one portfolio.

People would still be limited to only one monochrome portfolio at a time, though I wonder if we should let people have concurrent monochrome and palette portfolios? That's collecting 16 decks at once? What do you think?

I think it's doable and would encourage more collecting. That way someone who's working on a monochrome deck can also be collecting other colors too. The only probably I can see is the fact that 9 out of those 16 decks would have to be the same color and so far that's about 1/3 of any specific color.

I don't think double counting would be too bad between the types of portfolios with the rule that only 3 of the decks on the portfolio can be previously mastered and limit it to only one active monochromatic portfolio. It would also drop the number of active collecting decks to only 15 if someone wants to do both.

I can do the modifications. I'm thinking the rainbow bar on the top and the bottom will change to different shades of the chosen color. Would the name of the portfolio be different (the part that says 'palette portfolio')?

There's only around 30 something of each color so far, so for someone to like 8 decks of the same color might be hard. ^^;; But I'll announce the new portfolio next month, so hopefully we'll have around 10~20 more of each color by then. :3

Hm, that's true...it is only one color from the palette portfolio that would count for a monochromatic one, but if someone manages to do 8 palette portfolios (not doable now, but eventually, maybe, one day? there are people on their 2nd one already), then it would mean they can qualify for each of the monochromatic ones for the 8 colors. Not sure how this would work. But then, like you said, they would only be able to use three of those decks and would have to master 4 more.

Different shades of the same color would be nice! The bottom part would say "monochrome portfolio" instead. Or monochromatic portfolio. I'll announce it next month, so take your time with designing it. :3 I just need one example to display with the next update when I announce it.

I should be able to get you examples of all 8 tomorrow. I was planning on doing a kind of art day tomorrow anyway and I need to catch up with all the portfolios requested since the deck update went up.

Well yesterday didn't really work out how I wanted it to. Oh well. Here's the red version of the monochrome portfolio (ignore the decks named I'll change them all to red decks for the final sample)

Does the dark one look too dark?

I don't think the dark one looks too dark. :3 The last two lighter ones look a bit drastic compared to the others, but this turned out pretty cool!

Finished the rest of the samples

I was just wondering if the darks for the brown one and the darkest on grey were readable.

The darker two for the blue one (flame, lunar) are a bit hard for me to read. The darkest one (ducati and mayonnaise) for the purple and gray one are a bit hard to read too. But the rest look fine to me!

These look great. I'll announce them next month, and I think I'll go with your suggestion of having decks usable for both monochrome and palette portfolios.
