game rewards, Asobot Initiative
Hello hello! Skie has gone on hiatus and won't be returning until May or so. I believe he's taken care of rewards for his games, but I'm not entirely sure. If not, let me know! If the games have already closed, I can unscreen answers so that someone can pass out rewards.

I noticed a few of his games from previous rounds where rewards have not been passed out. I've unscreened the answers to these. It would be great if someone can pass out rewards for these! If no one can do so right now, I should be able to do so sometime next week.

Music Station 72-73

Graffiti 38

Spare Parts 65-66

Advent Calendar Day 9

(end of page)

If there are any other games floating around where one of us may have forgotten to pass out rewards for, drop a comment here! If it's been a while, it's probably been forgotten...

Also, don't forget to take off the "open" tag for closed games as well as from all the Advent Calendar posts. If you offered random cards for your Advent Calendar days, don't forget to pass out rewards!

Spare Parts and Music Station are now in good hands. (Thanks Chuu and Aru!) It looks like Graffiti and Beauty Pageant are still in need of a new caretaker. Both are biweekly games! Asobot Initiative has been updated. Posts have not been remade. Currently, decks are being displayed over here so that any mod can update the decks as long as they have the password. I haven't given the AI pages a face lift yet, but this uses [livejournal.com profile] designtrace's TCG manager. It's quite nifty! :) Would anyone like to adopt the Asobot Initiative for now? I'll PM you the password. ♥ (Also, anyone good at CSS and can give the Initiative a face life? XD;; )

Noted on the tag!

I'd also like to volunteer for a possible new CSS layout for the asobot initiative? o/ And possibly pass out prizes for any of those if no one else volunteers.

Oh oh, new CSS for the Asobot Initiative would be much appreciated! Here's the stylesheet.

Sorry for the delay! here (http://www.mediafire.com/?75k5c5xc5f60eig)'s the style.css as promised. I also did optional banners for active decks (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y265/gaiachuuki/colors3/1active.gif) nearly completed (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y265/gaiachuuki/colors3/2ncompleted.gif), held masteries (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y265/gaiachuuki/colors3/3heldmasteries.gif), and donations and masteries (http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y265/gaiachuuki/colors3/4donmasteries.gif) Feel free to include these if you wish! These were made up for time lost because of me taking too long on the style.css haha.

Thank you Chuu! It was not a delay at all (and I wasn't home either). Thank you, all get this up! The banners are pretty awesome. :)

Rewards last weekend didn't really happen.
Rewards this weekend are very, very possible.
I'll report back on Sunday if I have or have not done rewards.

Life doesn't play nice oh man.

Edit: Those, plus Pot of Gold.
Should be able to get 'em; I hope.

Oh hey Skie! Hm, you sure you don't want someone else taking care of rewards? (though do you have email notifs turned off? Wouldn't want your inbox to be spammed!)

If rewards don't happen, link me your games here and I'll take care of the rewards next week.
[identity profile] perarduaadast.livejournal.com on January 14th, 2012 03:41 am (UTC)
My games, my responsibility. I can't be a let-down all the time, can I?
I think I need the relaxation, so tossing out rewards would be a pretty nice thing to do.

I don't want to burden anyone else.
lucathia: fishbones: stars[personal profile] lucathia on January 14th, 2012 03:50 am (UTC)
You so have not been a let-down. Also, I thought you were supposed to be non-existent on the net by this point! What are you doing still around?

As long as you're sure! And aren't stressed out by having to take care of remaining TCG stuff.
[identity profile] perarduaadast.livejournal.com on January 14th, 2012 04:18 am (UTC)
I have two hours of free time every weekday night... usually spent on homework. But my fridays/weekends allow for much more time; thankfully.
[identity profile] perarduaadast.livejournal.com on January 21st, 2012 05:26 pm (UTC)
WELL THEN.
Doing rewards RIGHT NOW.
[identity profile] perarduaadast.livejournal.com on January 26th, 2012 02:51 am (UTC)
Status update: Just got done with all but one of my rewards.

Beauty Pageant 41 remains:
http://colors-tcg.livejournal.com/400814.html

I thought I could do it, but I ran out of time! D: If no one else gets it before me, I'll do it next time I have free time.

I'll take Beauty Pageant 41 on! Thanks for passing out all the rewards with the other posts!
[identity profile] moon-wolfwriter.livejournal.com on January 15th, 2012 05:35 am (UTC)
I was thinking about it and if no one else wants/is able to take on Graffiti I think I could do it while Skie is gone. I'll probably post it Monday since I like to spread my games out.

As for games that haven't had their rewards passed out there's also Spare Parts 63-64 (http://colors-tcg.livejournal.com/376701.html) and since Disu hasn't posted in a while Crossword 36 (http://colors-tcg.livejournal.com/377318.html) has never closed.
lucathia[personal profile] lucathia on January 16th, 2012 10:25 pm (UTC)
That would be great, Moon, if you can take on Graffiti for now! I might also be able to handle Graffiti if you need to toss it to me for a few rounds, or at least help you with some images if you need any help with that.

Thanks for those. I'll link them in the post to make sure I remember they still need rewards passed out for them. I'll wait a bit more to see if [livejournal.com profile] disutansu will be floating back in.
[identity profile] stopping.livejournal.com on January 15th, 2012 08:47 am (UTC)
I know in Skie's post re: his disappearance, we were considering me possibly adopting Beauty Pageant, if no one else wanted it! And Asobot Initiative, if Chikky wasn't still interested. But that's only if! I don't want to step on any toes, and if someone else wants them then they can definitely have them :c

All of my games that are closed have been marked as such! I can't believe there were a few that I forgot :C I'm slowly making my way through my last Advent Calendar day, good god there are a lot of prizes.

If there's anything I can help out with, please let me know! I like to be of any help that I can c:
lucathia[personal profile] lucathia on January 16th, 2012 10:26 pm (UTC)
If you could adopt those two, that would be wonderful, as long as you feel you can handle them. You sure are accumulating a lot of games! XD; Has Chikky expressed interest in either?

Thank you for going through them! :)
[identity profile] stopping.livejournal.com on January 20th, 2012 12:53 am (UTC)
Ahaha, I assure you it's not on purpose.. Sometimes I sit back and wonder "holy crap how did this even happen adkjsflkae" ヽ(;▽;)ノ I'm actually not sure, I'll ask next time I see her!

Finished passing out the crayons for Day 14. Thanks for the reminder about the open tag, i think my Advent Calendar days still have that...

With so many games that need to be taken care of and mods on hiatus/MIA perhaps we should consider getting some backup staff? I think even one or two people would be a great help... (I'd give up Info Exchange but I don't want to do this when there's so many games that need to be adopted...)
lucathia[personal profile] lucathia on January 16th, 2012 10:29 pm (UTC)
Thank you Aru!

I'm still considering this. Perhaps it's time!
aru: [[kaminomi]] ► is it real[personal profile] magaru on January 17th, 2012 11:33 am (UTC)
And the open tag has been removed!

I don't know how the other mods feel about this, since I did not want to start any unofficial polls without talking to you first, but the current number of active game mods is close to the number of new mods hired in summer and it looks like Moon and Remus handle the majority of our games. I'm definitely not saying that they do a bad job, since I think they are excellent mods. Probably they should be consulted on whether Colors needs backup staff or not...
lucathia: fishbones: stars[personal profile] lucathia on January 17th, 2012 12:51 pm (UTC)
Yes, Moon and Remus are currently handling the majority of our games. I also feel, however, that because participation in games is currently at a lower level than Colors' busiest time, that the solution might not be more mods, but rather choosing games and setting some aside, bringing them back in for events instead of running them on a weekly or biweekly basis. Backup staff might help (especially since people are always the most enthusiastic near the beginning, so it'd mean everyone's loads would possibly feel quite a bit lighter for a good while), but long-term, it's possibly not a solution.

But I do think more help is always good even if we'll eventually need to look again. I would not want anyone to burn out. And with new people on board, perhaps I can delegate some of my current duties to one of you, as I have been taking far too long with many things, which is not good for the TCG.
aru: [[gintama]] ► we were always crying all[personal profile] magaru on January 20th, 2012 10:12 pm (UTC)
What duties are you talking about? I don't want to take up another game but I believe I'd be able to take up some extra stuff
lucathia[personal profile] lucathia on January 21st, 2012 12:03 am (UTC)
I'm doing all right with most. It's graphic donations that I have totally failed at keeping up with!
aru: [[vocaloid]] ► let's go this is war[personal profile] magaru on January 25th, 2012 01:13 pm (UTC)
Late reply because yay exams but if it's just passing out prizes for graphic donations, I think I could help! Starting in February since the exam session lasts till the end of this month...
lucathia[personal profile] lucathia on January 26th, 2012 06:46 am (UTC)
I'm fine with passing out prizes! It's putting up donations that takes me a while, as I find that a bit tedious... perhaps I should take to passing out rewards right away and putting up donations whenever I have time to tinker with the site.
aru[personal profile] magaru on January 29th, 2012 12:04 am (UTC)
If any duties need to be taken care of, I can still take up some! Also, my last exam is on the 1st and then I'm fully available for anything so I'll be able to make some last minute decks (I saw a Saint Seiya donation? :3) if you don't mind having them delivered on the 1st or 2nd of February. Oh and, may I ask about Scrapbook this month? I kind of want to run this as well, like Skie and Eri did but that's only if nobody else feels like doing it this month!
lucathia[personal profile] lucathia on January 29th, 2012 12:16 am (UTC)
Scrapbook needs to go up this weekend! :3 I was getting things together for it (Aniki needs to be contacted because Aniki has a reserved spot in Scrapbook from Pot of Gold~), but if you would like to run it this month, you can (as I have yet to make any decks yet, so this would give me some time to do that instead). Would you like to? :3

Yes those themes are acceptable. Just check that everyone has submitted workable images before the 1st so that the slots are taken care of. :3 I'm going to screen your comment so that others don't know what the theme is. :3

Here's the file for the banner! Please make sure you use two different colors for the borders of the decks. :)

Checking in, although not for too long.

I literally keep forgetting to check LiveJournal with all the stuff I have to do in preparation for my second semester of student teaching, and I deeply apologize. Um... I know I posted about my game/mod situation a while ago, regarding on the direction I should take for myself in the TCG and the game, but I think, with how much I know I'm going to have to do in the upcoming semester, I may have to take an official hiatus from the TCG itself. I only really have the one game (Crosswords) that was my responsibility, so if anyone would like to take care of that, you have my blessing!

I've taken care of my Advent Calendar posts (forgot about that) and my previous Crosswords round (forgot about that too!), and with my recent disappearance/being buried under the end of the semester things at my school, my hiatus probably won't be noticed by many. >_>;; Really wish I could devote the time I wanted to the TCG itself, but since I didn't expect there would be so much involved in student teaching (as I know by now), I am surprised I have any free time at all phew.

As for everyone else, best of luck to you. Hopefully I'll be able to float back in once things sort of settle out... which probably won't be until the end of the school year. And Lucathia, I see that Twist Serve is getting back onboard, so best wishes for that too! So exciting everywhere, and I wish I could be a part of that too. T-T Good luck!
lucathia: fishbones: pink[personal profile] lucathia on January 19th, 2012 12:47 am (UTC)
Thanks for checking in! And for taking care of your Advent Calendar posts and your previous Crosswords round. Good luck with your student teaching. I know how taxing that can be, and how much effort it requires. I hope we'll see you again in the future! (We'll celebrate you surviving the semester, yes?)

Twist Serve is now in the hands of Ori and possibly Saz as well as Keigo. I hope they manage to get Twist Serve back and running. :)

Yes indeed. I mean I know how to do everything theoretically but actually applying it in a real life situation really is an eye-opener. I planned out the entire unit for Hamlet this past quarter, and it was so stressful preparing lessons each and every day, even week(s) in advance (and having TPAs hanging over your head). Now I'll have to do it for the next semester, so I'm already planning it out. Hopefully it goes well and I'll return with good news that I've gained my teaching credential. T-T9

I hope so too. :) Good luck to them! Thanks for all the work you've done for both TCGs~
